The monthly repayment on a 20 year home loan with a variable borrowing rate of 3.85% on a mortgage of €250,000 is €1,495.26 for 240 months. Total amount repayable is €358,863.35. If interest rates increase by 1% an additional €133.98 would be payable per month. For this example, Annual Percentage Rate of Charge (APRC) of 3.92%.
